Physical Education
The Smedberg Middle School Physical Education Department attempts to provide an environment where students can be successful. Students will be involved in a variety of activity units throughout the school year. The units vary in 7th and 8th grade to allow students the opportunity to try many different activities. Students are tested on CA state fitness tests twice a year to assess their fitness levels.
To assist students in participating to the best of their ability, the P.E. Department expects students to be dressed in their P.E. uniform daily. Proper footwear is also important for increased student safety. Students should have athletic shoes for P.E. class. Students should bring school issued Chromebooks to class daily.
Make up PE is available for students so they may earn activity points when they are absent from class.
Students are expected to dress appropriately for class for health and safety reasons. The proper uniform should include the following:

Athletic Shoes and Socks | Must be worn laced and tied. Other shoes, such as slides, slippers, and Crocs should not be worn for PE class as non-athletic shoes can be unsafe for physical activity. | N/A |
