ATTENDANCE MATTERS

Students with excessive absenteeism will be reported to the Attendance Improvement Office (AIO) and may be required to provide verification of illness from a healthcare provider.  Remember to always notify the front office if your student is absent or misses any part of a school day.
 
How To Report Student Absence? (CHOOSE 1)
  • Use one of the click buttons at the top of this page for direct links.
  • Call the front office – be sure to leave a voicemail.  (916) 681-7525, option 1.
  • Send your student with a note from a healthcare provider.
  • Send your student with a note signed by parent/guardian.
 
EARLY DISMISSALS 
  • Always bring photo ID.
  • Call ahead and we will prep the leave of grounds pass prior to your arrival.
  • Thank you for understanding that we are unable to process early dismissals during the last 10 minutes of the school day. 
 
CLASSIFICATION OF ABSENCES (as defined by Ed Code 48260, 48261, 48262)
  • EXCUSED: Illness, doctor or dental appointments, death in the immediate family.
  • UNEXCUSED: Running late, flat tire, ran out of gas, missed the bus, overslept, took siblings to school first, vacation.
