How do I register my child at T.R. Smedberg Middle School? Do I need to bring any proof of residency? How do I know if I am in your school's boundaries?

What do I do when my child is sick or on vacation?
If your child is sick, either call the school to let us know or send a note the next day with your child. If your child is going on vacation, please let your School Office Technician and your child's teacher know.
What is the Regular Day schedule?
The regular school day starts at 8:20 am and ends at 3:00 pm. Please allow extra time for traffic as well as to allow your child to make it to the classroom in plenty of time.
What is the Minimum Day schedule?
Minimum/Staff Development days start at the regular time of 8:20 am and end at 1:10 pm. Please remember to make pick up arrangements ahead of time.
Who do I talk to if I have a question about attendance?
Please give our office a call and we can check your child's attendance. We are able to assist you quicker if you have your child's 8 digit Student identification number available.
Who do I talk to if I have a question about behavior issues?
Behavior issues should be addressed to the Teacher of the class involved, your Student's Counselor, or a Vice Principal.
Who do I talk to if I want to volunteer my time?
We always need parent volunteers to help in the office, library, classrooms and during lunch and special activities. Please give our office a call at 916-681-7525.
Who should I contact when my child is failing a class?
First, contact the teacher. If your child continues to experience difficulties, contact their counselor.
How do I request homework when my child is sick?
Contact teacher by email for homework or contact the front office attendance technician to request homework.
